What is beekeeping equipment?

Beekeeping material is the name of all products used in the production of honey or bee products. In order for bees to produce 1 kg of honey in nature, approximately 40 thousand bees need to collect pollen and nectar by placing them on 6 million different flowers. In addition to this duty of the bee, the beekeeper needs to provide the necessary environment and care for the bee colony. If we divide the beekeeping activities into two parts as before the hive and after the hive. Benka Beekeeping produces all beekeeping materials that will be required for the harvesting of honey and the processing of bee products after the hive. Honeycomb honey can be consumed directly after being taken out of the hive or it can be consumed by turning into a strained honey. It does not require any processing to be consumed in honeycomb form. However, it needs to go through some processes in order to turn it into filtered honey. In order to protect the honey filled by the bees from external factors and to store it in the comb, it is closed by the bees with flaps. These valves are called “secrets”. The raw material of the glaze is natural beeswax secreted by bees. The process of opening the flaps on the honeycomb before the filtration process is called “uncapping”. This process is carried out on the uncapping vessel. The frames, whose glazes are taken in the uncapping vessel, are placed in the honey extractor for the “honey filtering” process. It has been seen that honey extracting machines are colloquially referred to as “honey milking, honey milking” machines. There are manual and motorized types of honey extractors. Manual honey extractor is a machine that performs the milking process by turning a basket in which the frames are placed in a cylindrical boiler, thanks to a gear. Models of manual honey extractors that can be turned with the help of an electric motor, not human power, are called motorized honey extractors. The most preferred model among motorized honey extractors is fully automatic honey extractor. After the honey milking process, a wide variety of equipment is needed for melting, resting and bottling the honey. The names of these equipments; honey settling tank, honey melting pot, honey heating tub, heated honey resting, honey filling machine, honey packaging machine etc…

So, how is the remaining beeswax evaluated after the filtered honey is taken?

As long as the beeswax meets the necessary conditions, the next year it is re-inserted into the frames in the beehives as an artificial honeycomb. Bees swell these combs and fill them with honey again.

Pure beeswax, completely free of honey, is melted. Some of the wax processing equipment by Benka beekeeping; glaze vessel, glaze vessel, glaze bench, wax melting, solar powered wax melting, electric wax melting.
